NFL Network has announced that it is dropping the old format of the Bucs/Pantries game and is moving the NFC Championship Game from Charlotte to Tampa Bay on Sunday.
The network announced the move on Thursday afternoon and made the announcement during its Thursday Night Football special, which airs at 7 p.m.
The Panthers-Bucs game was scheduled to begin at 8 p.t. on ESPN2, but the network had to pull it because of a weather-related delay.
The game will now air on ESPN and NFL Network, which will simulcast it live.
The move comes at a time when the NFL has been in transition with the network’s broadcast schedule, which has been shifting from weekdays to weeknights.
The new format means the game will not air on Monday nights in 2017.
The Bucs and Panthers play on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 1 p.l.m., but will not be broadcast live until 1 p,m.
PT on NFL Network.
