When the NBA moves on, ‘Outstanding Move’ can mean moving out of town
The NBA has announced it will move its NBA All-Star Game from San Antonio to New Orleans.
The move will be the first time in league history that two NBA teams have hosted the event.
The NBA also announced that it will be taking steps to create a new and improved digital media platform, the NBA Now, that will enable fans to stream and watch NBA games online, including live, pregame, postgame and pre-game shows.NBA All-Stars are also scheduled to play on ESPN, TNT and ESPN3, as well as select local and national cable networks.
The All-Spurs Game will be played on TNT at the Smoothie King Center on July 22.
In addition, the league announced that the All-NBA Team will be announced in the coming weeks, with a team selection announcement to be made at the All States Ball in Los Angeles on Sept. 9.
