How to be more free and still be a player
The free agent market is in flux and there are players that are either on the roster or are looking to move to another team.
One of the players that is being mentioned is San Antonio Spurs center Pau Gasol.
In a recent interview with The Athletic, Gasol said that he would be willing to waive his no-trade clause in order to sign with a team.
“It’s like a No-Meter,” Gasol told The Athletic.
“If I’m not here, the No-Stop is gone, so I think it’s a great time to go.
It’s a lot easier to do than it used to be.
If it’s not the Spurs, I’ll probably have to trade. “
I’ll do what’s best for me.
If it’s not the Spurs, I’ll probably have to trade.
If I’m traded, I’m happy.
I’ll take the best team I can and try to make the best of it.”
According to Gasol, he has no intention of changing his tune on his stance.
He said, “I’m not going to make any kind of move or change my mind on anything that I’m doing right now.
I love my time here, and the fans love me.
That’s the only thing I can do.
I still want to play and have a great season.”
The Gasol-led Spurs have been in the middle of a rebuilding process that saw them move from a high-scoring juggernaut to one of the worst teams in the league.
Although they finished 7-15 last season, the Spurs were able to land the No. 2 overall pick in the draft in a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans for Pau Gasole and Tim Duncan.
Since that trade, San Antonio has been among the NBA’s most productive teams and the Spurs have finished the regular season tied for the second-most wins.
As a result, they have been able to maintain their competitive advantage and hold their playoff spot through the first round of the playoffs.
According.
Gasol is the fourth player to say that he is willing to move on and sign with another team, joining Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard and Chris Paul.
In terms of free agency, there is plenty of competition for the best players in the NBA.
With the exception of the New York Knicks and Miami Heat, the biggest name in free agency is likely the Oklahoma City Thunder.
With the Thunder’s core set to return next season, they need to address some of the issues that they have faced during their rebuild.
However, there are also plenty of players that can help their team improve as well.
For instance, Gasole could provide the Thunder with a spark that can bring a team that has lost their best players for the last two years back to the playoffs in a way that the last few seasons didn’t.
The Thunder have been a mess during their time in the playoff picture, and it will be interesting to see if the Gasol signing would help in that regard.
