Jayhawks freshman guard Dwayne Haskins was on the court in a tie-breaker game on Friday night against No. 16 Missouri.
Haskins scored 13 points in the final 2:05 to help the Jayhawks overcome a 14-point deficit to win 64-61 over the Tigers in Game 1 of the series.
The win marked the first win for Jayhawks in seven games and helped the Jayhawk team improve to 12-1 overall.
Jayhawks point guard Josh Thompson had 13 points and six assists in the loss to Missouri.
He was 2-for-10 from the field and 3-for and 5-for from 3-point range.
The Jayhawks have now won three straight over the Missouri Tigers.
Jayhawk center Ben Curtis scored 18 points and freshman forward J.J. Johnson had 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Jayas.
Jayhawks forward/center Matt Moore scored 11 points and eight rebounds for Missouri.
The Jayhawks improved to 5-0 against Missouri.
