A pilot for an air mover has died after crashing into a parked car in Chennai on Friday night.
According to the police, the pilot and passenger of the car, a passenger from the other side of the road, both got out of the vehicle to try to reach a petrol station at around 5pm.
The passenger died on impact, while the pilot was declared dead on arrival at the Civil Hospital in the city.
Police said the man was a pilot with Tata Consultancy Services, which operates the Tata Pilots Express.
“The man died on arrival.
We are yet to ascertain the cause of death of the other person, who is a passenger in the other vehicle,” a senior police officer told PTI.
The accident happened on the highway near the road and railway junction at Dhamapuri in Chennai.
The driver of the Tata Pilot Air Mover died on the spot, police said.
