Trump is “still planning” to spend the inauguration weekend in Florida.
But the former White, House aide said he does not believe the president has the time to “plan for a transition.”
“I think Trump has no time,” Trump’s former WhiteHouse counsel Don McGahn said during an interview on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday.
“He doesn’t have the time.”
Trump, who was inaugurated Jan. 20, said in a tweet Sunday that he will be there for the inauguration.
“I will be back in the White House and working hard on behalf of the American people!” he tweeted.
Trump’s new administration has also been trying to build up momentum for the inaugural parade on Jan. 3.
The parade will include a march to the Capitol, which Trump said will begin on Pennsylvania Avenue and end at the WhiteHouse.
